Former WWE Intercontinental champion and one-time Wrestlemania headliner Eddie "Umaga" Fatu has passed away at the age of 36, at a medical facility in Houston, Texas.

Reports started circulating early this afternoon that the former WWE superstar was found unresponsive by his wife, after he reportedly fell asleep watching tv.

Umaga had just recently completed the Hulkamana tour of Australia, which ended just a week ago.

The official cause of death has yet to be determined, but everyone at the Houston Examiner would like to offer our thoughts and prayers to the Fatu and Anoai families.

Once again an incredible talent, and smart guy lost way too early.

I have never met him but looked forward to his work when he was on WWE every week.
