FIP World Heavyweight Title to be defended in Japan!

Davey Richards dominant 2009 continued this past weekend as he became the 7th man to win the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup. There is seemingly no stopping Davey in his quest to show the wrestling world just who is the very best in the business today. His “hunt” for the best in competition is taking him to the Land of the Rising Sun in December, as Davey makes his first tour of Dragon Gate Pro Wrestling. He has signed an open contract to defend the FIP World Title while on this tour, but we are awaiting confirmation from the Dragon Gate office in Japan as to when/where those defenses will take place, and versus whom.

One thing is certain, if Richards has his druthers, one of his opponents will be Masaaki Mochizuki, about who Richards said, “One person I'm coming for with a vengeance is Masaaki Mochizuki. He defeated me in 2007 in Detroit and I'm going to avenge that loss. Get ready Dragon Gate, the hunt is on!"

Media Personality & Premier Ring Announcer Launches Web Site

(Tampa, FL) - - Media personality, publicist, actor, and “The Voice of Florida Wrestling”, Shannon Rose, can’t wait for fans and first-timers to visit his new web site.

“It’s long overdue that there be a ‘one-stop-shop’ place for everything I provide,” Rose says about the debut of www.IMShannonRose.com.

Rose has been working behind the scenes for several months polishing the web site, which will showcase not only his many talents, but will also tell his fascinating story of triumph over a potentially debilitating disease.

Rose has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which is a connective tissue disorder, characterized by joint hyper mobility, skin extensibility and organs that can rupture. People afflicted can possess a variety of symptoms, mostly having to do with fragile skin and joints that can be very hyper mobile.

Rose’s personal battle with Ehlers-Danlos, a battle that he is now winning, led to him being named Ehlers-Danlos Network CARES National Spokesperson in July 2009.

But the web site’s real purpose is to look forward, not backward.

“Fans and friends have been pushing me for a web site,” Rose says. “They’ve been wanting this for a long time. And so have I, frankly,” he adds.

The site will demonstrate Rose’s abilities as an actor, ring announcer, broadcaster, and PR man. It will be filled with samples, photos, resumes, audio demos, and an exclusive Shannon Rose blog.

“Now there’ll be a destination for everyone—fans, clients, friends, wrestlers, you name it,” Rose says.

The site differs from that of his PR company, Eclectic Media Productions, because www.IMShannonRose.com focuses on Rose specifically, as opposed to his company.

ABOUT SHANNON ROSE

Shannon Rose started his career in pro wrestling at the age of 12 with a public access cable show that ran for 7 years in Tampa along with working for Championship Wrestling from Florida.

Gordon Solie and Dusty Rhodes gave Shannon his start as a ring announcer.
18 years later Shannon remains "The Voice of Florida Wrestling" and has worked for NWA, ECW, IPW Hardcore Wrestling and many other wrestling promotions. He also has managed, wrestled, refereed, and has run a wrestling hotline for the St. Petersburg, Times.

He started out his radio career as an intern for 970 WFLA / 93.3 WFLZ. Shannon went onto opening up a number of successful wrestling websites from prowrestlingdaily.com to sgtslaughter.com and many others. He also hosted a WWE wrestling segment on MORETV32.

This past weekend in Vineland, NJ, DTW had a great show but fans were shocked at the outcome of the main event.
